ST and SC Cell

The Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar district of Odisha is the home for several tribes and a significant percentage of ST /SC population live in these two districts of Odisha. Majority of the ST&SC students are first generation students those come for study in the university. The ST& SC cell of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University is established for the benefit of the ST& SC students and employees of the University.

Objectives

The major objectives are:-

  • To monitor the implementation of the reservation policies for ST/SCs in the university
  • To collect and keeping record on the admission and appointments in the university
  • To deal with representations received from ST/SC students/staff regarding their admission/recruitment/promotion and other similar matters in the university
  • To function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for the Grievances of ST/SC students and employees
  • To monitor the teaching learning and student progression of ST/SC students
