About

Department of Mathematics of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (Erstwhile North Orissa University) was established in 2012. This Department provides M.Sc/M.A course in Mathematics. The intake capacity was 20 in the year 2012. Now the intake capacity is 35. The aim is to offer excellent education to all students as well as to mentor & nurture mathematically inclined students and make available to them a loyal environment that fosters intellectual growth. The Department encourages the students to be creators of mathematical research, to develop a positive identity as mathematics learners, and to see them as mathematically skilled. Our curriculum is designed to help students excel in the field of science and technology. Beyond academic mastery, we also emphasize the development of strong discipline and responsible citizenship.
