Post-Graduate Council of MSCB University headed by the Chairman, Prof. Hemanta Kumar Sahu. All the Heads of the Departments of the Post-Graduate Departments of the University are the members of the Post-Graduate council in their ex-officio capacity.

The Post-Graduate Council performs the following functions

• General policy matters in regard to Post-Graduate studies and research
• Principles for selection of students for admission into different courses
• Principles for the award of scholarships
• Conduct of Semester Examinations
• Conduct of entrance tests for admission to self-financing courses (Not covered under Common P.G. Entrance Test through Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha)
• All matters concerning students including placement and training
• Maintenance of discipline among students on the campus
• Principles for admission of students to hostels along with fee structure
• Preparation of holiday list for P.G. Council, publication of magazines and Information Bulletin, etc.
• All other matters assigned to the Council from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor or the Syndicate
