About

The Post-Graduate Department of Botany of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (Erstwhile North Orissa University) is established in the year 2004. The Department is bestowed with well trained faculty having wide array of research exposure and teaching experience in various aspects of plant sciences. The Department imparts teaching at M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels with an objective to provide quality input to students both in teaching and research. We intend to expand academic co-operation by offering new curriculum, upgrading programmes to a wider spectrum and promoting collaborating research on development from broad interdisciplinary prospective. The Department received the Assistance from DST-FIST, UGC, NRSC, MoEF & CC, DST and OSHEC from time to time for conducting quality research in diversified branch of plant sciences.
