Dr. Swarupananda Bissoyi has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Application at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada, since 2014. Before entering academia, he garnered 11 years of experience in the software industry, working for companies such as Mahindra Comviva and Samsung Research India – Bangalore. Dr. Bissoyi completed his Master of Computer Application as a topper from Berhampur University in 2003 and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Berhampur University in 2022. His research papers have been published in national and international journals and conferences. His research interests encompass Data Mining, Recommender Systems, Digital Humanities, Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. Dr. Bissoyi is passionate about exploring the latest technologies. A die-hard fan of Upendra Bhanja, his research focus is mainly on Natural Language Processing in Odia language. Additionally, his Odia articles have been published in newspapers and magazines in Odisha.
