The R.P. Padhi Library of Berhampur University was established in 1968 to cater to the growing needs of students, teachers, and research scholars. It plays a crucial role in providing various information resources and services to support the academic and research requirements of the user community of the university. Housed in a two four-storied building with four main sections, the library currently boasts a collection of over 151,959 volumes, including books, popular magazines, print journals, theses, and reports in Science and Technology, Management, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Additionally, users have access to e-books, e-journals, and other electronic reading materials through the EBSCO and Science Direct Databases. R.P. Padhi Library has also access to JSTOR, a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources. The university is also a member of the Developing Library Network (DELNET) New Delhi which is a major resource-sharing library Network in India that offers networked library services to users to undertake research in the area of information science and technology and offers technical guidance to Member-Libraries.
