Welcome
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 1st National Conference on “Advances in Low-dimensional Materials for Optoelectronic and Nano Devices (ALMOND 2023)”, which will be held at Toshali Sands Resort, Puri during March 3rd-5th , 2023, organized by Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar. ALMOND-2023 is aimed to provide a unique platform for scientists, researchers, engineers, and scholars to share and exchange innovative ideas, interdisciplinary and emerging topics, and state-of-art techniques in the field of low dimensional materials and applications. The conference will cover both the experimental and computational aspects of the recent progresses in low dimensional materials including novel metal oxides, organic and inorganic thin films, 2D van der Waals solids, and nanowires towards the field of low powered electronics and optoelectronics such as transistors, solar cells, thermoelectric, memory, resistive switching, and neuromorphic computing. The conference program will feature plenary sessions by invited speakers, technical oral and poster presentations.

Puri is an ancient costal city in Odisha, situated on the Bay of Bengal and is dignified as ‘Shree Jagannath Dham”. The city is enraptured by myriad of tourist attractions for its ancient monuments, breathtaking temple architecture, art and craft villages, pristine beaches. We are excited to welcome you all to Puri for ALMOND 2023 and to enjoy in person discussions with scientists around the India.

We look forward seeing you in Puri for a productive ALMOND-2023!

Few of the specific areas where we plan to give major emphasis are

  • 2D materials: synthesis and applications
  • Resistive switching and Neuromorphic computing
  • Low dimensional materials for energy and optoelectronic applications
  • Computational studies: Density functional theory, simulations for Advanced Materials
