The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, PPA, in the presence of Shri A.K. Bose, Advisor (Traffic), PPA, along with Heads of Departments and other senior officials. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of teamwork, unity, and sportsmanship. He noted that such tournaments go beyond the game, helping build trust, coordination, and strong professional relationships among employees. He also encouraged participants to uphold fairness, safety, and the true spirit of the game.  The Inter-Department Tournament is witnessing enthusiastic participation from various departments including Administration, Vigilance, Finance, Engineering, Medical, Electrical &#038; Mechanical, Traffic, and Marine. The Corporate Tournament features teams from leading organizations such as IOCL, IFFCO, Adani Wilmar, Indian Coast Guard, Paradip Police, Railways (Paradip), and other stakeholders.  Organised by Gopabandhu Kreeda Sansad (GKS), the matches are being held in the evening under floodlights, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for both players and spectators.  The Inter-Department Cricket Tournament will conclude on 13th April 2026, while a combined valedictory function for both the Inter-Department and Corporate Tournaments will be held on 19th April 2026.  The tournament is being conducted under the leadership of Shri H.S. Rout, Chief Engineer and President, GKS, and Dr. D.P. Sethy, Senior Deputy CMO and Working President, GKS. Their collective efforts have been instrumental in successfully organizing this prestigious sporting event.  Employees from all departments are actively participating and turning up in large numbers to cheer and encourage the players, adding to the excitement and spirit of the tournament.  This annual sporting event reflects Paradip Port Authority\u2019s commitment to promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and camaraderie beyond the workplace. It also provides a valuable platform for employees and corporate teams to connect, collaborate, and showcase their sporting talents.
