Paradip Saksharata Samiti (PSS), the social arm of Paradip Port Authority, organized an inspiring programme to celebrate International Women\u2019s Day, highlighting the importance of education, equality, and opportunities for women and girls. The celebration reflected the spirit of the theme \u201cGive to Gain,\u201d emphasizing that empowering women strengthens society and paves the way for a more inclusive future.<\/p>\n
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Shri P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, in the presence of Capt. A. C. Sahoo, Deputy Conservator; Shri Krishna Bapi Raju G, Secretary; Shri A. K. Sahoo, FA & CAO, along with other Heads of Departments and senior officials, who encouraged the spirit of women empowerment.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Swarna Mishra, social activist and former Governing Body Member of PSS, attended the event as the Chief Speaker and shared her valuable insights on the role of education and empowerment in strengthening women\u2019s participation in society. Mrs. Sabita Mishra, also a former Governing Body Member of PSS, joined the programme as a special invitee and addressed the gathering.<\/p>\n
On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions, recognizing their talent and encouraging greater participation in social and educational activities.<\/p>\n
Sri A.K. Sahoo, Sr. DTM, PPA and Working Chairman of PSS, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of International Women\u2019s Day and the importance of empowering women through education and equal opportunities. The meeting was presided over by Sri Rama Chandra Pradhan, Secretary of PSS. Concluding the programme, Sri Ashok Mohapatra, Project Coordinator of PSS, proposed a vote of thanks to the chair and all participants for their valuable presence and support.<\/p>\n
