Paradip Port Authority Hosts 41st All India Major Ports Kabaddi Tournament 2025–26.

Paradip Port Authority (PPA), in association with the Major Ports Sports Control Board, is hosting the All India Major Ports Kabaddi Tournament 2025–26 from 6 to 8 February 2026 at the Biju Convention Centre, Paradip. The national-level tournament brings together 07 Kabaddi teams from Major Port Authorities across the country, providing a strong platform for competitive sports and inter-port camaraderie.

The tournament is being organised under the leadership of Shri H. S. Rout, CE and President, Gopabandhu Kreeda Sansad (GKS), and Dr. D. P. Sethy, Senior Deputy CMO and Working President, GKS, with the support of Shri Dhuna Chandra Tarai, Secretary, GKS. Their collective efforts have been instrumental in successfully bringing this prestigious sporting event to Paradip.

The inaugural function of the tournament was held this afternoon and was graced by Shri P. L. Haranadh, IRTS, Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, as the Chief Guest. Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, Paradip Port Authority attended the occasion as Guests of Honour, lending further significance to the event.

Following the inaugural ceremony, the dignitaries interacted with the players and officials and extended their best wishes to all participating teams. Shri P. L. Haranadh, in his address, underlined the importance of sports in promoting discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness among port employees and appreciated the organisers for hosting a kabaddi tournament at Paradip.

Teams representing Chennai Port Authority, Deendayal Port Authority, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, Mumbai Port Authority, New Mangalore Port Authority, Visakhapatnam Port Authority, and Paradip Port Authority are participating in the tournament. The matches are expected to showcase high standards of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship over the three-day event.

Through this tournament, Paradip Port Authority reiterates its commitment to promoting sports, employee welfare, and a healthy work culture. The event aims to strengthen bonds among Major Ports of India while encouraging a spirit of healthy competition and national camaraderie.

The tournament will conclude with the Final Match and Valedictory Ceremony on Sunday, 8 February 2026 at 5.00 PM onwards at the Biju Convention Centre, Paradip. Members of the public and sports enthusiasts are invited to witness the matches and be part of this celebration of Indian kabaddi.
