About

Regional Judicial Academy, Sambalpur

The Patron-in-Chief, Odisha Judicial Academy, along with the Hon’ble Committee, emphasized the need for effective and convenient training of Judicial Officers, Staff, and other stakeholders at all parts of the state. Recognizing that it would be impractical to call them to Cuttack each time for training, they proposed decentralizing the Odisha Judicial Academy. As a result, five Regional Judicial Academies were established with the Government of Odisha’s concurrence on 13.05.2023.

For the remaining districts, namely Cuttack, Kendrapara, Puri, Khurdha, and Jagatsinghpur, the Odisha Judicial Academy serves as the local training centre.
Each of the Regional Judicial Academies is well-equipped with a large training hall featuring smart class solutions. These smart classes facilitate interaction with training participants from remote locations. Additionally, each academy includes an in-charge chamber, a VIP/resource person lounge, and an office room for staff, sufficient to conduct an effective training programme.
