Objective:
Mechanical operation is basically dealing with the particles. Mechanical operation deals with particulate matter i.e. crushing of solid matter from large to intermediate and from intermediate to smaller one, also it deals with separation of solid particles from solid, liquid and gaseous streams. Mechanical operation covers significant area of engineering, therefore the utility of this particular course mechanical operation is significant as far as the industrial application is concerned.
Skills Learned:
- Analyzing and interpreting experimental data to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Learning to use specialized equipment for material testing and analysis.
- Handle chemical spills properly.
Equipments:

Jaw Crusher
A jaw crusher is a large piece of equipment that's used in mine and ore processing plants to crush rocks.

Roll Crusher
In a roll crusher comminution primarily involves individual particles nipped between converging roller surfaces. The forces of compression and friction between the rolls and particles are responsible for size reduction, provided the combined forces exceed the compressive strength of the particle.
Additional Information:
- Safety Protocols: The lab follows strict safety protocols to ensure the well-being of students and staff during experiments. Safety gear and instructions are provided to all users.
- Lab Manuals: Detailed lab manuals and experiment guides are available to assist students in conducting experiments and understanding theoretical concepts.
- Faculty Support: Experienced faculty members and lab technicians are available to guide students through experiments, provide technical support, and answer questions.
