Objective and activities of the Club:

The Drug Awareness Club (DAC) is a club to control and address the hazard of substance abuse among every student of the college to be focused towards a particular goal and ingenious in protecting the wellbeing against consuming weeds, drugs, alcohol and any sort of substance abuse as notified Under NDPS Act 1985 and other Laws. The club supports the energetic meditations by Government, NGOs, and De-Addiction Centres etc. for a drug free society with an objective- Say ‘NO’ to Drugs, and ‘YES’ to Life.

The activities of the club include boundless programmes through awareness lectures, public rallies, competitions, poster exhibitions, organizing campaigns etc. The club also associates with the IQAC, Counselling Cell, NSS unit, Discipline committee and other units of the college to provide counselling support, moral guidelines etc. to needy students. In addition to this, the local administration and Police Department of East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur makes joint endeavours to address the problems related to drug abuse.

Considering the issue in the present scenario, and in compliance with the Zonal Director NCB, Ranchi with Letter No–F.No-1/NCB/Ranchi/P&C/Signage/2023/100 dated16/01/2024,Netaji Subhas University, Jamshedpur (Netaji Subhas Institute of Pharmacy, Jamshedpur has constituted the Club, with intends to facilitate the awareness activities of Anti- Drug from the academic session 2024-25 onwards.

• To spread awareness to ensure a drug/ substance free campus.
• To engage the students in anti-drug activities.
• Motivate students to become volunteers of anti-drug activities in their life.
• Ensure no sale of drugs or alcohol in college premises.

• Purify and strengthen the personality through guidance against Drugs.
